The Suffolk Horse Society put on training days for owners/members and supporters of the Society.  All training days are £75.00 per head and are run by Suffolk Horse Society Qualified Judges.

2024 TRAINING DAYS

Saturday March 16th 2024 – braiding and showing
Saturday March 30th 2024 – harness and driving

At the moment the training courses are based in East Anglia in March / April time however if you are unable to attend East Anglia please still register your interest as we may be able to find a more suitable venue closer to you. 

Braiding, Feeding, Grooming & Care of the Foot –
This training day is a great chance to learn more about looking after your Suffolk Horse and get some experience ready for the show season.

Harness
This training day is to give information on how to present a Suffolk Horse for in-hand showing and explain what the judges will be looking for in the show ring

 “Putting To”
This training day is an opportunity to learn more about harness and actually driving a Suffolk Horse single and in pairs. You will be given the chance to have a go at driving for yourself.

Show Day Information (This was a new training day for 2023)

A full detailed day full of how you get your Suffolk Horse ready for the Show ring. This includes how you prepare the horse, how you dress and prepare and what to do in the ring at a show.
